Bagan is one of the world’s three greatest Buddhist heritage sites, along with the Angkor Wat in Cambodia and the Borobudur in Indonesia. Bagan Thiripyitsaya Sanctuary Resort was established 40 years ago as the Government’s guesthouse for elite visitors.
